She graduated from The City College of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology.
She received a Master of Science in Audiology from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. She then received a Certification in Early Childhood Special Education from California State University, Dominguez Hills; and a Certification in School Business Management from University of Southern California.
She is licensed in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and has Certificates of Clinical Competence in both. She is Hannen Certified in “It Takes Two to Talk”. In 2008 she received Recognition of Outstanding Achievement from the California Speech-Hearing Association. She has worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for over thirty years with specialty in special needs children.
At LAUSD she served as an administrator for the speech and language department and as an administrator over seeing special education at local school sites and facilitating Individualize Education Plans (IEP) meetings. In 2008 she opened a home community based private practice in the field of speech, language, hearing, and hearing aid services with a specialty in Autism and Downs Syndrome. She is dedicated to providing services one client at a time, for a wide variety of communication needs.
